Vending Machines: Counting Your Calories

VendScreen, a new technology start-up believes that we should all know and have invented a device that tells us exactly what's in those pack of Nutter Butters.

The device, which is about the size of a soda can, mounts on a vending machine and displays the nutritional information of every item sold in the machine. VendScreens service automatically connects with the vending operators service and updates the display to accurately reflect what is left in the machine.

Simple Rookie Mistakes not to Make at Conferences

If you have read up on tech conference prep, here is my list that should simplify things. It's very basic, but very important as well.

1. Wear comfortable shoes. This can not be stressed enough. By comfortable, I mean they should withstand eight hours of walking and or standing, without giving you blisters. Ladies, save the cute sparkly ballet flats for another time. Trust me on this. Bring shoes with ankle support, cushioning, and traction.

Marietta Georgia Police Have a New Weapon to Fight Crime

Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images)Among the many problems a law enforcement officer faces, being able to identify a suspect without identification is a major one.  Often, the person wants to conceal their identity in the hopes of not being identified as possesing previous warrants.

Well, that is no longer a problem for the police officers of Marietta Georgia.  They are now using a new device called the Rapid ID Mobile Fingerprint Scanner. The way the new device works is quite simple. After a person's finger is scanned, their fingerprint is immediately run through a state and national database to see if there is a match for any past warrants.
